Auberge Carnish is a
new purpose-built luxury guesthouse aiming to offer a 5 star
accommodation and dining experience, with a world class view, for all
seasons.
If you are going to journey to the Outer
Isles you will want to stay in one of the most beautiful parts. On the
west coast of the Hebridean island of Lewis, approximately 38 miles
from Stornoway lies Uig, an area of outstanding natural
beauty.
The working croft on which Auberge is built
tumbles down to meet the turquoise ocean joined by the peaty Red River,
a stunning two mile stretch of white, shell sand and great views into
the Uig hills - imagine. A perfect location.
Making holidays extra special in the Hebrides, this is accommodation that we have chosen for its individuality.
Richard and his wife Jo are practised in
their craft. The “original” patrons of the
acclaimed Bonaventure Restaurant with rooms they cultivated a
reputation for great food that celebrated a Franco-Hebridean fusion -
they promise to continue in the same vein with Auberge
Carnish.
The guesthouse has five luxurious, ensuite
bedrooms and an intimate, licensed restaurant overlooking the
bay.
Future plans include growing their
own produce - herbs and salads in a poly-tunnel and,
being crofters, Richard and Jo aim to keep their own chickens
and rear lambs and pigs - all to
grace the tables of their restaurant. Follow
