In an amazing
location overlooking wonderful
beaches to rival any other, a stay at Beul na Mara is likely to instil
a deep sense of peace and tranquillity. The shallow, sandy Seilebost
estuary fills twice daily with the tides, reflecting the sky in ever
changing hues. About a mile across the estuary (four miles by
road), the long beach at Luskentyre beckons you to explore and view its
beauty, regardless of the weather or season.
The lounge, conservatory dining room,
outside decking and the attractively planted garden all face these
views, so you can enjoy them regardless of the weather.
There’s a television, comfortable armchairs and plenty of
reading matter in the lounge and your host, Catherine Morrison has
thoughtfully provided binoculars in the conservatory.
All of the comfortable, en-suite bedrooms in
this immaculate house are pleasantly decorated and equipped with a
hospitality tray. You’re sure to find relaxation
easy here.
Beul na Mara is roughly midway between
Leverburgh (ferry to Berneray and the Uists) and Tarbert (ferry to
Skye). It’s about fifteen minutes drive to either, on one of
the most scenic routes in the Outer Hebrides.

Suggestion
The island of Taransay, made famous by the BBC series, Castaway, and a
filming location for The Rocket Post, is prominent in your view from
Beul na Mara.
Subject to weather conditions, you can take a
summer day trip to the island from nearby Horgabost beach. See www.visit-taransay.com/.
