The Borrodale is a
comfortable, small hotel with a good deal of character.
There's a friendly and pleasantly relaxed, homely feel to the property.
You can choose to eat in the airy
conservatory or the traditional dining room - or even take light a meal
in the comfortable lounge bar.
Relax, perhaps with after dinner coffee, in
the residents' lounge, which has plenty of soft furnishings and a warm
cosy environment.
Bedrooms vary in style, according to
location in the hotel - sloping ceilings in some of them add a touch of
cottage atmosphere. All are tastefully presented and offer
en-suite facilities, TV and hospitality tray.
The location of the Borrodale is very
convenient, as it's set back from the road that runs from
Eriskay in the south to Berneray in the north, about 15 to 20 minutes
drive from the ferry to or from Barra and 5 minutes from the
Lochboisdale ferry point.
