This is a popular
hotel for business and
pleasure in the Uists, thanks to its central location and larger size
than most in the area (42 rooms).
A good proportion of the accommodation is on
the ground floor, with just a few steps down from the reception area.
Rooms are comfortable, with en-suite facilities, TV, phone
and hospitality tray.
Cheerful, friendly staff in the restaurant
offer a wide choice of dishes and a good range of specials and bar
meals is also available.
A comfortable lounge area is equipped with a
computer that's available for guest use and there is a selection of
reading matter.
At the side of the hotel, a track leads
directly over machair to the beach. On a summer evening, as you stroll
along the machair tracks close to the hotel, you may hear corncrakes,
oystercatchers and lapwings calling from the vibrant patchwork of
machair cornfields. Next to the track, orchids bloom in a variety of
competing purples.
The Sgoil Lionacleit Sports Centre is within
easy walking distance, offering swimming pool, fitness suite and sauna.
