Link to more photosThis small, comfortable hotel is just half an hour's drive from Stornoway, situated close to some of the Isle of Lewis's main attractions.

The Callanish stones are around 10 minutes drive, the imposing Carloway Broch (bronze age fort) is within walking distance and the Gearrannan Black House settlement is just the other end of the village.

Superb surfing beaches are also close by, as well as dramatic coastal walks.

There are two dining areas, one of which has panoramic views over the inland loch, directly in front of the Doune Braes.

Comfy leather sofas and armchairs provide for relaxation with friends and a traditional style is popular with guests.

The location of this hotel accommodation is convenient for touring, especially the beaches and settlements of the west coast. Of particular note are Dalmor (mor=large) and Dalbeg (beg=small)  beaches, where the Atlantic surf is dramatic in any weather.

Suggestion

Take a short drive, or perhaps better still, a longish walk, around the circular(ish) route of around 5 miles to nearby Tolsta Chaolais. You'll see the  lochs, crofts and houses, which form this attractive village  from a succession of varying angles.  Don't forget your camera!.
