‘4
Star’ rooms
in the
Hillside development (shown on this page) are larger and more
luxuriusly appointed than the ‘lodge’ rooms in
Group 3
(shown in the slideshow. These superior rooms are located in
a recently built wing of the hotel, accessed across a small, covered
courtyard from the hotel reception area. (On the left in the above
picture.)
In other respects, your stay at Langass
Lodge is the same, whether you choose the group 3 or group 4 option.
Formerly a sporting lodge, the property has
been tastefully transformed into a small
and comfortable Hotel. Set in splendid isolation in its own grounds,
it's 10
minutes drive from Lochmaddy ferry port and 25 minutes from Benbecula
airport.
There are stunning views beyond the nearby
stone
circle, over Langass sea loch
to Ben Eaval and the Minch beyond. The hotel has
very
comfortable
public areas, enjoys an excellent reputation for its cuisine, has a
disabled bedroom and the owners are proud to be holders of
the Gold Green Tourism Business
Award.
This is a particularly attractive choice for
guests with an interest in watching birds and other wildlife.
If you are patient, there's a good chance of seeing otters at
the nearby loch.
Langass is our northernmost hotel in the
Uists,
convenient for visits to the wonderful island of Berneray and the ferry
to Leverburgh.
