Right alongside
Portree harbour,
the Rosedale Hotel offers super views from many rooms and is
just a short distance downhill from the town centre.
Tastefully modernised, the Rosedale combines
a number of houses originally occupied by fishermen - some
dating as far back as the reign of William IV.
The philosophy of your hosts here is to
ensure that everything is perfect. The 'Thank You' cards
displayed in reception seem to confirm that the philosophy is
working.
A first-floor restaurant has views out over
the harbour, restful decor themes and a reputation for good
food. The leading food critic, Wendy Barrie, described the Roseadle as,
"a real hidden gem."
The
AA rosette award signifies, "Excellent restaurants that stand out in
their local area. The food is prepared with care, understanding and
skill, using good-quality ingredients."
There is also a peaceful hotel bar and a
resident's lounge.
All bedrooms are equipped with private
facilities, colour television, direct dial telephone and hot drink
making trays. Some rooms have four poster beds and all have been well
furnished with individual, good quality fabrics.

Suggestion
The Talisker Distillery on the island produces a highly acclaimed malt
whisky. This makes a great day out where you can learn about the
distilling process, which makes each whisky different, then sample the
product for yourself. To learn more about Talisker and other whiskies follow this link.
