A warm welcome awaits you at Clearview from Irene and Norman, who want you to feel ‘at home in the Hebrides’.  Clearview is a modern family run B&B in a peaceful elevated village location, around 20 minutes drive from Stornoway.

Clearview – bed and breakfast with panoramic views of Loch Erisort and the Harris hills

Irene and Norman have been providing bed and breakfast for many years at their home in Balallan,  a village that is centrally placed for touring Lewis and Harris. They’re a very hospitable couple and you’ll be greeted with tea or coffee and home baking on arrival.

The house is close to the road that links Stornoway and Tarbert, so it’s especially convenient for cyclists or bus passengers.

The B and B is open all year round and is situated approximately 15 miles from the main town of Stornoway and 21 miles from Tarbert.  The house is close to the road that links these towns, so it’s especially convenient for cyclists or bus passengers.

A full Scottish breakfast is included and served in a dining/lounge at Clearview where you can take in the spectacular views of Loch Erisort and the hills beyond.  Birdwatchers will enjoy identifying raptors that are common in the area.

Television and video are provided in the lounge (no TV in bedrooms), where you’re welcome to sit and meet fellow guests to compare notes on your day’s touring.

Accommodation

Guest accommodation includes one each twin and double rooms with en suite shower WC. A further double bedroom has its own, more spacious, private bathroom directly opposite across the hall (with corner bath and separate shower enclosure).

Tea and coffee making is available in all rooms.

Dining

For evening meals, we suggest you visit the Loch Erisort Inn, 2 miles away where excellent food is served at good value prices.

“We`ll never forget your kindness and your delicious breakfast. Thank you. Au revoir!” – Pierre & Carine,  France.
