You can truly relax at Pipers’ Hut, a modern and newly built self catering situated in Portree, the main town on the Isle of Skye, known for it’s vibrant colours and picturesque harbour. The harbour in Portree is well worth visiting, with its superb natural setting, being surrounded by high ground and cliffs and used by both fishing boats and pleasure craft.
The dramatic rock formations, waterfalls, walks and other attractions on the Isle of Skye are easily accessed from Pipers’ Hut. The distinctive and easily recognisable Old Man of Storr is a short six mile drive from Portree. The 1.4 mile walk from the carpark (allow 1 – 1.5 hour) will take you to the Old Man. From here you can soak up the dramatic views towards mainland Scotland and out over the Sound of Raasay. For nature lovers, boat tours are available from Portree Pier where you can get up close to some of the local sea and wildlife including dolphins, whales and sea eagles. Whisky lovers have a wealth of options throughout the Isle of Skye, with tours at most distilleries available (must be booked in advance).
Accommodation
This open plan studio, finished to a very high standard, comes equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The property includes your own private entrance, two seater sofa, smart TV, bespoke kitchen and wc / shower room. If you are looking for somewhere to relax in comfort after a day’s sightseeing then Pipers’ Hut is for you.
Food and Drink
This self catering property (breakfast not included) comes with a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for your stay. For evening meals a variety of pubs, restaurants and cafes can be found in the village. For those wishing to cook at home there are shops where you can buy provisions.
