Taigh Chailean B&B is ideally situated for exploring the Isles of Lewis and Harris. Your host, Marion has been providing bed and breakfast for many years in this beautiful house in the Outer Hebrides. This rural location has many traditional working crofts around the village and you can enjoy watching the wildlife in this scenic, rural area, where golden eagles are known to fly.
Situated in Laxay, Taigh Chailean B&B is centrally placed for touring Lewis and Harris and is close to the road that links Stornoway and Tarbert, being only 11 miles from the main town of Stornoway and 24 miles from Tarbert.
Relax in the lounge at the end of the day and enjoy the view over the nearby loch and hills.
Accommodation
Taigh Chailean has two bedrooms, one double and one twin and both have en-suite. The family stay locally and Marion is frequently around to welcome you and make you feel at home!
Food and Drink
A generous Scottish cooked breakfast is provided each morning, with vegetarian, gluten and dairy free options available. Enjoy breakfast in the dining room where you can take in the spectacular views of Loch Erisort and the hills beyond. In addition a fully equipped kitchen is available for guests to cook their own evening meals, or alternatively, there are many restaurants in Stornoway, only a 20 minute drive away.
