Situated in Kensaleyre, midway between Portree and Uig on the majestic Isle of Skye.
Situated on the A87 between Portree and Uig, The Orchard is an ideal base for exploring the northern part of Skye. The Isle of Skye, also known as the Misty Isle, best known for it’s rugged landscape, picturesque villages, castles and outstanding scenery just a stones throw from the property. With its central location it is well worth spending a couple of days in the area exploring attractions such as the Fairy Glen and the Quiraing which are a short drive away. The Quiraing loop walk starts and ends at the carpark and covers a distance of 7km. This well marked track is a highlight for both walkers and those with a passion for photography.
Being a short drive from both the Uig Calmac ferry terminal and the picturesque village of Portree, The Orchard is a popular stop for those travelling both to and from the Outer Hebrides.
Accommodation
Accommodation is a one bedroom, en-suite, which can accommodate double, twin or a family of three. Private access is through the garden, which boasts great views, an idyllic place to sit back and truly relax.
Food and Drink
Breakfast is continental style and is served in the room. For evening meals there are dining options at the Uig Hotel, 7 miles north ( booking in advance is recommended). There are also many cafes, restaurants and bars in the village of Portree.
