Westside in Linsiadar on the Isle of Lewis is a warm and comfortable cottage situated on 5 acres of hillside leading down to the sea.

In good weather it is an excellent base for exploring the hills, coast and ancient history of Lewis, in bad weather it is a private haven for a completely relaxing holiday.
The cottage has two twin bedrooms, bathroom, an open fire in the lounge (as well as full central heating), and a well equipped kitchen / dining room. The porch provides ample space for outdoor clothing and boots and there is plenty of parking space at the cottage for two cars. The cottage welcomes well behaved dogs.
The two bedrooms are upstairs and are both twins, the beds are provided with linen and duvets. All towels are also provided. The kitchen / dining room has a full sized twin oven electric cooker, microwave oven and fridge freezer. There is an automatic washing machine and a tumble drier. Basic necessities are provided as well as a small collection of peat and coal to get your fire started.
Linsiadar is centrally located for traveling around Lewis, within half an hour are the Broch at Doune Carloway and the beaches at Dalmore and Dalbeg, or in the other direction Bosta Beach and the Iron Age settlement on the Island of Great Bernera, or Uig with its dramatic mountain and beach scenery.
You might like to try Doune Braes Hotel which is open daily. If visiting the Garenin Blockhouse village make sure to sample the delicious food in their cafe and also put Pol’s Pantry on your list however keep in mind it is only on a Sunday. If you travel into Stornoway you can sample some delicious local cuisine at the Boatshed at the Royal Hotel or Solas at the Cabarfeidh.
