Short distances and plenty of time to relax, driving your own car on a tour of Lewis, Harris, North Uist and Skye.
These Western Isles holidays begin/end at Mallaig, Kyle of Lochalsh or Ullapool depending on what is more convenient for you. During your holiday you will visit Lewis, Harris, Berneray, North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist and Eriskay – add Barra at extra cost if you wish. From Ullapool, there are at least two daily sailings (2hrs 30 minutes) between Monday and Saturday, on Sunday there is currently one sailing. Explore Lewis and Harris for a couple of days before taking the ferry from Harris to Berneray and the Uist’s. From Berneray, Eriskay is less than a two hour’s drive – but allow a couple of nights before sailing to Uig (Skye) from Lochmaddy in North Uist. Enjoy a night in Skye, then depart via the short ferry from Armadale to Mallaig or over the bridge to Kyle of Lochalsh.
At the end of each day pre-booked accommodation will be ready for you. We’ll offer you a selection from our list of approved B&B’s, guest houses, inns and hotels. You can mix and match to suit your budget or preferences – we plan Western Isles holidays that are as individual as our guests.
